WIDENER UNIVERSITY DUAL ENROLLMENT SCHOOL

Smedley Allied Career Health High School is a grade 9th, 10th and 11^th grade program.  The program is a partnership school with CrozerMedicalCenter and ChesterUpland.  The Allied Health Careers High School offers a rigorous core curriculum in mathematics, sciences, health care, and English.  Students, over the course of four years, will be exposed to theoretical and practical experiences in health science. These will include medical laboratory work in classroom and clinical settings, patient care activities, an emergency response course, and medical research simulations.  In addition, students receive extra help through tutoring during and after school and computer assisted programs such as Achieve 3000 (reading) and Apangea (mathematics). Extracurricular programs include:  Instrumental Music/Band, football, basketball, volley ball, cheerleading, baseball, tennis, track and after school club activities.
